The Great Tomb Raid For Godly play & Workshop Rotation kids. X marks the spot for Fun! Kids from the Godly Play (ages 4-5) and Workshop Rotation (grades 1-6) will experience the most adventure-filled games ever in The Great Tomb Raid. Led by the Confirmation Class (grade 8), they’ll cheer as they aim a “muddy” sponge at an eyeball target in “Muddy Miracle,” race ping pong balls across the water in “Water Walking Race,” lower a toy figure on a precarious platform at the “Paralyzed Friend Drop” and more!
The Great Tomb Raid will be held during the Annual Meeting. While the parents and adults attend their meeting, we will be having fun playing games that remind us of some of the miracles performed by Jesus like calming a stormy sea, walking on water, and raising people from the dead….and the greatest miracle of all-bringing himself back from the dead….making Jesus the Greatest Tomb Raider of all!
The 2012 Children’s Cantata - Sunday, February 26th (both services of worship)
Moses & the Freedom Fanatics
This exciting musical drama based on the Exodus story will be presented by the children’s choirs Sunday February 26 as the 2012 Children’s Cantata. The play opens with a grand procession of slaves that disturbs King Pharaoh's quest for a good night's sleep. From that point onward, the action begins! The slaves get organized and Moses emerges as the leader of the people. The dialogue, spiced with humor throughout, tells with clarity and strong role characterization the story of the Exodus. The music includes lamentations of the slaves, a song cleverly portraying the plagues cast on Egypt, and a final song of triumph.
Dress Rehearsals:
