1846 Covenant Society
Supporting
The Lewinsville Presbyterian Church Foundation
Endowment Fund

In October 2009, Lewinsville Presbyterian Church officially launched The 1846 Covenant Society, a legacy organization created by the Foundation to recognize members and friends of the congregation who have included the church in their estate planning. Our purpose is to build a spiritual legacy that will strengthen and extend the mission and ministry of the church for the benefit of future generations.

Members of the Society embody the belief that thoughtful planning today will ensure the faithful gathered at Lewinsville will always have the resources to meet the needs of the Lewinsville Church family – and those of communities throughout the world.

COMING EVENTS

Catesby Jones and You!
March 14, 2010
9:45 a.m.

The 1846 Covenant Society, newly established legacy organization at Lewinsville, will present a panel of experts, March 14, 9:45 a.m., to answer questions about estate planning and charitable gift giving. “What happens to money I give to the Foundation?” “Do other churches have an endowment fund; if so, what do they do with the monies given to them?” “Just how important is a will?” All confusing and confounding language will be avoided in discussing these and other questions which attendees can bring.

The panel will include Colleen Kavits of the Kavits/Frey Group, Fred Tansill of Frederick J. Tansill and Associates, and Karl Mattison of the PEER Network. The Moderator will be Mike Deese of the Lewinsville Presbyterian Church Foundation. Attendees will likely hear at least one prognostication of where the market is headed in 2010. And yes, even if you already have a will or trust agreement, you will learn something you did not know.

Location: Chapel
