SUMMER MISSION PROJECT

This year's Summer Mission Project (our 19th!) will take place in New Orleans. A team of 53 high school/college age students and adults will leave on Saturday, June 21 to assist Habitat for Humanity with their continuing efforts to rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. We will have the opportunity to work with other volunteer organizations in New Orleans while we are there, as well. We will return on Saturday, June 28 and lead the worship service on Sunday, June 29. Please plan to join us and hear about our week!

Special note : Summer Mission Project 2008 is being dedicated in loving memory of our dear friend, Judy O'Hara, who lost her valiant battle with cancer on November 30, 2007. Judy was an active participant of Lewinsville's Summer Mission Project from it's inception in 1989; she was an inspiration to us all and we miss her.

Sunday morning activities for youth begin September 16. Confirmation class for current high school freshmen, or older youth who have not previously joined the church, will meet in room 104. Middle school discussion will meet in the youth center; senior high discussion will meet in the parlor (except for special joint discussions as part of an adult education module).

Contact Linda Bender if you have any questions (703-356-7200).

Remember, your friends are always welcome to join us
for any event we do!
