Better Angels Skills Workshop:

How to Talk with Loved Ones and Friends Across the Political Divide

November 19 –  4:00-7:00 p.m.

Chapel

There’s a lot of stress these days among family members and friends who are divided politically, and the current polarized public conversation doesn’t help. The Lewinsville Faith and Public Policy Committee has invited Better Angels to present a Skills Workshop to help us learn skills for having respectful conversations that clarify differences, search for common ground, and affirm the importance of the relationship.

Better Angels is a bipartisan network of leaders and organizations whose vision is to reunite America. Their method is to improve our society’s approaches to conflict. They seek an America with less uninformed animosity between left and right, less separation of upscale America from the rest of America, and fewer good reasons for the governed to hold the governing in contempt.

Mark your calendars for Sunday afternoon, November 19, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Chapel. Sandwiches and beverages will be provided. Grab friends and/or foes with whom you need to better communicate concerning the difficult social and political issues confronting our country and bring them along.
