Luke 13:10-17 is the story of Jesus healing the unnamed “bent-over woman” on the Sabbath. On the surface, it seems simple. Jesus has the power to heal and to defeat Satan and declares it as necessary on the Sabbath as any other day. And the people rejoice. But if you dig down into it, we can find many interesting things, especially if we study this story with biblical storytelling techniques and deep attention. Join us as we experience slow Bible Study enriched by the oral traditions and deepened by other readings that will use this story in different ways.
