Confirmation Sunday/Pentecost

You are invited to celebrate with the Lewinsville family as we confirm a class of young people during the worship service. They have spent months on a journey of faith and this is the day they will publicly claim that faith as their own. Pentecost is the Sunday we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit poured out on the gathered community, the birthday of the church, the moment when a frightened group of disciples was set on fire with purpose and sent out into the world. There is no more fitting day to welcome new members into the body of Christ than the day we celebrate the Spirit that binds us all together.
