Sunday Night Talks and Dinner
Mark Keam is a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates in the Democratic party. Mark was the first Asian-born immigrant and the first Korean American elected to any state-level office in Virginia. He was born in Korea, the son of a Presbyterian Minister. The family moved to Vietnam to found a church. Part of his family was able to escape before the fall of Saigon, while his father was imprisoned in a labor camp. Mark talks about how his Presbyterian faith impacted his decisions as a representative, his ongoing work as a lawyer, and some recent medical challenges. Mark’s presentation will be in Fellowship Hall. A sandwich dinner will be provided.
