Some of us are sad at Christmas. Some of us don’t have the energy or wherewithal to sing the traditional Christmas carols with masses of people because we carry grief or we mourn the loss of a loved one. Sometimes darkness, grief and discouragement are heightened at Christmastime.
On the longest night of the year we gather in the sanctuary to worship the One who is the Light of the World—the Light no darkness can overcome.
At the longest Night Worship Service we will gather in candlelight to sing, pray and receive the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper as we lay claim to the Light of Life even in the midst of deep darkness.
Bring a friend who you know may appreciate a more quiet and reflective Christmas service.
