Report on Mission trip to United Orphanage & Academy in Kenya
On Sunday, November 24, following the 11:00 a.m. worship service, Alan Stevens will provide a report to interested Lewinsville members and friends on the June 2019 mission trip to the United Orphanage and Academy (UOA) in Moi’s Bridge, Kenya. Lewinsville Church, in partnership with Westminster Presbyterian Church and Old Presbyterian Meeting House, provides the support for this vital mission project that works to meet the human needs of vulnerable orphan children in a remote region of northwestern Kenya. There are now 51 orphans under the care of UOA, another 15 former resident orphans attending college and university with UOA assistance, and 185 children attending the academy (grades 1 – 8) run by UOA.
Join with members of the Mission and Service Ministry Group for a light lunch in Fellowship Hall at approximately 12:15 p.m. to learn more about how Lewinsville Church is supporting and having an impact on the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya.
