SMALL GROUP WITH PASTOR SCOTT DURING LENT:
WEDNESDAYS BEGINNING MARCH 1, 7:00 – 8:30 P.M.
You are invited to join Pastor Scott in a Lenten small group discussion of the book, Speaking the Truth in Love, by Dr. Kenneth Haugk of Stephen Ministries.
The small group will meet during the Lent season on Wednesday evenings at the church, beginning on Wednesday, March 1, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. This small group is part of our year-long “Journey into the Heart of God.” With this book – which is based on Ephesians 4:15, and which is part of the Stephen Ministry resource collection – we will explore the ways that God invites us to become assertive Christians. The book invites the reader to live assertively—just as Jesus did. Building on a scriptural understanding of assertive living, the reader learns how to build healthy relationships with others—one to one, in small groups, in task-oriented teams, and in congregations.
This small group will explore God’s invitation to become more assertive – to share our true thoughts with others, to let others know what we want, and thereby to become more honest, more open, and more fully present in our relationships.
