GET CONNECTED with our CHURCH FAMILY … responding to human need

Thursday, May 21

Daily Devotions are published Tuesday-Saturday during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Hebrews 2:15
…and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by the fear of death.

Devotion
Jesus became like men

…So we could relate to him.

That is so rich and ingenious – and what’s more he loves us so much that he wants us to follow him and do good things to enjoy the life in which he’s so generously given.

I feel God’s love through his people.  We learn skills and work together in our daily lives, hence we grow both in talent and friendship.  We share emotions, of sorrow or joy, and a smile or glance can bring an overwhelming feeling of love.  We are all in this together and we compliment each other like the colors red and green or orange and blue do.

Our individual experiences and history bring tremendous depth to the table with our peers.  Sometimes it’s things we may have in common.  Sometimes it’s something so foreign to us that it enriches our culture.  How meaningful and rewarding that is!

Change is constant and vital in our path in life, which brings interest and challenges.  Life should be invigorating, not stagnant.  We are blessed with excitement and passion for not only people but the memories we share on our walk in life.  This to me is how life continues.

Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for your constant love, forgiveness, insight, and guidance in this frightening world.  Help me to be humble like Jesus was amongst my friends and enemies.  Please help me to care and take care. Amen.
