GET CONNECTED with our CHURCH FAMILY … responding to human need

WE ARE THE CHURCH!

Sharing our time and talents to help meet the needs in our community and church is a very important part of membership in Lewinsville Presbyterian Church. By committing to participate in some way in the life of our church community, we enable ourselves and others to grow in faith, and we also become more deeply connected to one another.

If you are interested in learning more about the many volunteer opportunities available at Lewinsville, review the many opportunities below, then click on the email link to get in touch with the Ministry Group chair.  Or you can call the church office at (703)356-7200, or email our Volunteer Coordinator Karen Flagg.  What particular skills or interests do you feel God is calling you to use at Lewinsville Presbyterian Church?

*~*~*~ CURRENT JOBS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS! ~*~*~*

AUDIO/VISUAL TEAM: Lewinsville’s Audio Visual team is expanding!  We are looking for people to join the team and we will train you!  We need people to run the audio system and we also need people to run the video system.  You could be involved in either audio or video or both. This is a great way for adults and high school youth to get involved supporting worship on Sunday mornings!  Members of the A/V team get to pick the specific Sunday(s) they work on A/V each month. Contact Rob Ransom (703-965-8145)

SANCTUARY LIGHTING TEAM: We only have a handful of services and events each year which need special assistance with our new lighting. Christmas Eve and Holy Week evening services are two important times. We are looking for five people to learn the ropes and be able to step up for some of these special services during the year. Complete training provided. Contact Roland McElroy (703-237-0358).

FLOWER ARRANGERS: If you like to work with flowers … or would like to learn, Lewinsville’s Flower Committee is looking for you.  The Committee members do  the beautiful arrangements you see every Sunday on the retable, and they would love to encourage your creativity and share their knowledge with you. Each team is responsible for just one Sunday month, plus Easter and Christmas.  We only have one meeting a year and it includes brunch.  Lots of lovely flowers to work with  and only one meeting to attend?  It really is a great committee.  Contact Pam Deese at Pamela.deese@arentfox.com or 703-790-9263 if you’d like to be a part of it.

SUNDAY GREETERS: As people enter the building at Lewinsville offer a warm welcome, a Hand of Greeting, a handshake or a smile to remind folks that this is a place of welcome for all.  CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP!
