THE SUMMER PICK-UP CHOIR
August 18 and 25

The choir will meet in the chancel at 9:00 am to warm up for the 10:00 am service.  There will be THREE “drop-in” chancel choir rehearsals this Summer to start to rehearse music for big events this Fall and Christmas season. We will meet July 25, August 8, and August 22 on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00 pm in the choir room.


Choirs for Adults

Chancel Choir

Lewinsville’s Chancel Choir is open to all ages and skill levels willing to make a reasonable commitment, eager to be challenged, and open to experiencing the reward of spiritual and musical growth that comes from working together to make beautiful music. The choir sings a wide variety of repertoire from renaissance to modern day compositions. The Chancel Choir is supported by four vocal professionals who make up the Chancel Quartet.
Rehearsals: Thursdays at 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Chancel Bells

Lewinsville’s Chancel Bells learns more advanced bell techniques and involved compositions, with a focus towards fellowship and worship. They ring for worship and special services throughout the year.
Rehearsals: Sundays, 7:15 – 8:30 p.m.

Beginner Bells

Beginner Bells explore and develop handbell ringing skills with an emphasis on fellowship and community. Ringers learn introductory bell techniques and music theory.
Rehearsals: Sundays, 6:30-7:15 p.m.

Choirs for Youth & Children

Lewinsville Choristers (Grades 4-12)

Lewinsville Choristers meet weekly for boys and girls. The chorus learns repertoire appropriate for use in worship services while developing lifelong leadership, musical, and worship skills.
Rehearsals: Sundays, 4:45-5:30 pm

Lewinsville Bells (Grades 4-12)

Lewinsville Bells spans boys and girls and meets weekly. They learn repertoire appropriate for use in worship services while developing lifelong leadership, musical, and worship skills.
Rehearsals: Sundays, 5:30-6:15 pm

Junior Choristers/Junior Bells (Grades 1-3)

The Junior Choristers is a 30-minute beginner level voice choir. Emphasis is placed on developing the fundamentals of singing and music theory, with a focus on learning about music in worship. The choir meets Sundays in conjunction with Junior Bells. Junior Bells is a 30-minute beginner level bell choir with emphasis placed on developing the fundamentals of ringing and musical rhythm, with a focus on learning about music in worship. 
Rehearsals: Sundays, 3:00-4:00 pm

Joyful Noise/Godly Play (Ages 3-5)

Joyful Noise is a 30-minute beginner level choir. Through fun musical activities, movement, and simple songs, children explore their voices and learn the basics of singing alone and in a group, gaining a familiarity with Christian worship. (Note: when you register your child for Joyful Noise/Godly Play, you are registering them for church school.)
Rehearsals: Sundays, 9:45-10:15 am
